Collecting Quotes

Everybody loves a good quote, right?  I consider myself obsessed with quotes.  I love those little daily flip calendars that have a new inspirational quote each day.  Nowadays, I can even have daily inspirations and quotes delivered right to my email box or FB page!  I am pretty sure I ''follow'' or ''like'' a couple dozen daily inspiration pages through the different social networking sites.  I like the quotes because they speak to me, hit a good place in my heart, keep me in check, and remind me of my beliefs and passions.  I wanted to put them all in a place together, where I can continue to add too them, come back to them, and most importantly save them for my children and grandchildren someday....so this blog seems like a good place :)  Here is my ongoing list of favs so far (in no particular order, and I always try to give credit where it is due, but in some cases, I do not know who to credit with the original quote):

**********************************************************************************

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...

''A fight is going on inside of me, '' he said to the boy.
''It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.''

''One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superioruty, self-doubt, and ego.''

''The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.''

''The same fight is going on inside of you, and inside of every other person, too.''

The grandson thought about it for a minute, and then asked his grandfather,
''Which wolf will win?''

The old chief simply replied,
''The one you feed.''
